Since our last update, we’ve surpassed the 2019 homicide total – we have had at least 123 homicides in 2022 as of June 5^th

Shooting incidents are up 93% relative to 2019, down 6% relative to 2021 – these incidents have become more brazen and seemingly indiscriminate (example- Tuesday morning’s I-10 shooting during morning rush hour)

Carjacking incidents are now only 8% higher relative to 2021, indicating a slight slowdown, though we did have at least five last week

Armed robberies are 20% higher relative to 2019, 53% higher relative to 2020 (lockdown year), and 23% higher relative to 2021
