From August 24-30, 2026, there were seven reported major violent incidents in Orleans Parish.
Reported incidents included one homicide by shooting, two nonfatal shootings, and four armed robberies.
Four of the seven weekly incidents were reported near West Lake Forest in the 7th District (New Orleans East).
Overall, incidents of homicide, nonfatal shootings, carjacking, and armed robbery have declined -18% YTD since 2025.
