There were eight reported major violent incidents in Orleans Parish between October 5-11, 2026.
Six of these incidents were reported in either the 3rd District (Lakeview/Gentilly) or the 7th District (New Orleans East).
There were two homicides on Monday – one in the 3rd District and one in the 7th District.
Additional incidents included a nonfatal shooting, two carjackings, and three armed robberies.
No incidents were reported in the 1st District (Treme/Mid-City), 2nd District (Uptown/Carrollton), 6th District (Garden District/Central City), or 8th District (French Quarter/Downtown).
