From September 14-20, 2026, there were 11 reported violent incidents.
The 5th District (Ninth Ward/Marigny) had two nonfatal shootings & two armed robberies. The 3rd District (Lakeview/Gentilly) reported three armed robberies.
No major violent incidents were reported in the 4th District (Algiers) or 8th District (French Quarter/Downtown) last week.
The seven carjackings & armed robberies last week were the most reported in a single week since mid-July.
Despite last week’s uptick, overall incidents of homicide, nonfatal shooting, carjacking, & armed robbery have declined -70% compared with 2022.
