We’ve had at least 205 homicides to date in 2022*

 

 

This represents an increase of 141% compared with 2019 and 46% compared with last year to date

Non-fatal shootings have doubled (+100%) since 2019, but remain down by 8% compared with 2021 –

 

However, the combined total of fatal + non-fatal shootings in 2022 (498; 32% fatal) is 3% higher than in 2021 (482; 24% fatal)

Carjacking incidents continue their steady uptick – at least seven since our last update brings the YTD total to 217

 

-This represents a 210% increase over 2019 and a 14% increase since last year

-An upward trend compared with late spring/early summer months

Armed robbery slowed a little last week, though at 385 YTD, we remain 25% higher than 2019 ad 42% higher relative to 2021
